Got a new laptop recently. The T400 is a newish model from Lenovo and I got mine pretty well kitted out: Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 2.53GHz processor with 6MB of L2 cache (part of the Montevina series and uses only 25W of power), 3GB of RAM, 2GB of Intel Turbo Memory, 7200rmp HDD with 160GB and a 14.1 WXGA+ TFT screen with LED Backlight and Camera. Nice machine, but of course since it’s Microsoft Vista, there are bits of weirdness here and there. Funny thing is that the weirdness I see on my Dell XPS M1330 (Vista Home Premium) is different on my Lenovo (Vista Business). Guess it must be partly the hardware components.
Anyway, I took pictures as I was unboxing, but the “experience” was no where near as good as opening up an Apple product. More like getting a bill in the mail than a lottery check; not much emotional transfer from the gadget’s manufacturer to the consumer. I guess since this is a “business” product brand, no one at Lenovo cares. Observe, but not much to enjoy.
